Digital Asset
Investigations
We follow assets that leave a trail on-chain and build the record that holds up wherever the matter lands, whether in court, before a regulator, or in the boardroom.

Every financial investigation now has a digital asset component to it
Digital assets are now a recognized asset class. That means every divorce, every fraud case, and every financial investigation has potential onchain exposure. If your investigation does not include blockchain analytics, your end user has an intelligence gap that opposing counsel, regulators, and adversaries will exploit.

Outrider provides court-ready investigations and blockchain analytics
Every engagement traces onchain activity, builds the evidentiary record, and produces a report that withstands legal scrutiny. What you receive is a complete record, ready for whatever proceeding or decision the matter calls for.
Built for the matters where blockchain evidence changes the record
Outrider supports legal, investigative, accounting, and advisory teams when digital assets become part of the case.
A Proven Process, Every Time
Every engagement moves through the same four phases. The structure is consistent across every matter, so you know what each phase produces and where the work lands.
Scope the question
We open with a scoping call to determine the specifics of the investigation, confirm the legal posture, define the deliverable, and lock the timeline before any work begins.
Trace the assets
Using blockchain analytics, we trace assets across wallets, exchanges, mixers, and borders. Every transaction is documented, every movement is traceable, and every finding is defensible.
Build the record
We deliver a complete, court-ready report, written for a judge, board member, or regulator who has never opened a blockchain explorer. Every conclusion is backed by exhibits, proven methodologies, and a complete forensic record.
Stand behind the work
We stand behind our findings wherever they are tested: depositions, regulatory examinations, boardrooms, or trial. Our team has testified as expert witness in active matters and is available to do so again.
Four ways to bring us in
Initial trace findings memo
Works best when you need a fast read before committing to a full engagement.
A preliminary findings memo gives you an initial read on the on-chain activity, what can be proven, and whether a deeper investigation is warranted.
Scoped project
Works best when you have one case that needs to hold up.
We take on a single case, deliver a single report, and price the engagement as a fixed fee or against milestones with no retainer required.
Ongoing Retainer
Works best when matters land regularly enough to plan around.
A monthly retainer holds the team on standby across multiple engagements, removing the need to scope each one separately.
Expert witness
Works best when findings need to be defended beyond the report.
We engage hourly to stand behind findings wherever they are tested.
FAQ
Do you work with teams who have no blockchain experience?
Yes. Most of our engagements involve teams who are experts in their discipline but new to digital assets. We scope the work, explain the findings in plain language, and make sure every member of the team can use the record we build with confidence.
Can you work alongside an existing team or investigation?
Yes. We operate as a specialist resource within your existing team structure. We take direction from the lead, coordinate with co-investigators where needed, and deliver findings that integrate with the investigation already in motion.
Do we need to provide blockchain analytics software?
No. We bring our own tooling and help you select the right platform for each case.
What if the assets have already been moved or converted?
We trace where they went and document the full movement record. A complete evidentiary record is reconstructable in almost every case.
What does a typical engagement timeline look like?
Every case is different, but most engagements run three to eight weeks from intake to final report. Time-sensitive matters can be triaged within 72 hours. The best way to get an accurate timeline is to tell us what you are working with.
Who do your reports need to hold up for?
Everyone in the room. We write for judges, regulators, board members, and opposing experts simultaneously. Every report meets the standard of the hardest audience before it leaves our hands.
